My Journey of Perseverance and Growth
The Beginnings
My journey began in India, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable school. Despite my academic achievements, I lost track of my life when I moved to US for higher education. There was a time when I didn’t even have $4 to call my parents back in India. This moment of financial constraint marked the beginning of a series of challenges that would test my resolve and resilience.
Chasing Dreams by coming to the United States
Filled with dreams and ambition, I embarked on a new chapter by moving to the US for a Master’s program. However, the stress of adapting to this new environment while maintaining my personal well-being soon became overwhelming. Realizing the importance of my mental health, I made the difficult decision to drop out. This period was one of immense learning and introspection, during which a generous friend offered me shelter, helping me stay afloat during these tumultuous times.
Rebuilding from Scratch
Determined to rebuild my career, I pursued Java Programming certifications, laying the groundwork for what would become a decade of gradual progress and self-discovery. It was a time of reflection, hard work, and tenacity.
A Turning Point
A decade into my journey, I experienced an epiphany that set me on a path to maximize my potential. My life had always been a narrative of second chances, and with renewed vigor, I applied for a Master’s in Computer Engineering. My initial application was rejected due to my earlier academic dropout, but undeterred, I improved my application by excelling in courses at a local community college.
Breaking Into Cloud Computing
Gaining admission the following year, I delved into the paradigm-shifting field of cloud computing. This period required me to confront and overcome many internal demons, but it eventually led to a position at a pioneering company in cloud computing, balancing a demanding job with family responsibilities.
Embracing Continuous Growth
After years of professional stagnation, I sought ways to break free and continue growing. I adopted a contrarian thinking approach, cultivated a growth mindset, and consumed a vast array of knowledge through audiobooks on leadership, behavioral economics, neuroscience, psychology, and more. This quest for knowledge helped me challenge conventional wisdom and remain in a perpetual state of learning.
A Story of Second Chances
My persistence paid off when I was admitted to a top MBA program on my second attempt, overcoming significant internal struggles along the way. This achievement was a testament to the power of second chances and the importance of never giving up.
Sharing My Methodologies
Today, my experiences have equipped me with concrete methodologies to escape the constraints of conventional thinking. It’s my belief that if I could navigate through these challenges and succeed, so can you!. I feel uniquely qualified to guide you through this career journey, leveraging the lessons I’ve learned from my own improbable journey to foster growth, resilience, and success.
